What does the sensor do?
Slide sensing using off-the-shelf belts.
How it works?
The change in conductive path can lead to resistance changes and thus can be used for input detection.
You will need:
- carbon black ink
- belt & metal buckles
- conductive silver fabric
Sensor structure & Fabrication steps
- Brush-coat the belt into two conductive strips.
- Connect with silver fabric segments.
Application scenarios
Suitable for scenarios where there is already a belt (like the adustable belt for bags), and we can augment it to sense approximately where it slides to (how long is the bag's belt).
