Pressure Sensor - Nylon Spring Fabric

What does the sensor do?

It can be used as a pressure sensor that only senses high pressures. This is because high pressure is needed to compress the non-conductive nylon spring, after which the conductive top and bottom surfaces will contact and start to sense pressure.

How it works?

After the high pressure brings top and bottom surfaces together, further pressure will cause deformation in the thickness direction. As a result, the spacing of conductive carbon particles on the fabric will be reduced, and the resistance of the fabric will decrease.

Application scenarios

It can be useful when high pressure sensing is what you need and you want to physically filter low pressure readings.
