Identification - Velcro

What does the sensor do?

It can be used as a identification sensor that identifies which Velcro patch is adhered to it.

How it works?

Velcro patchs are brush-coated with different width ratios, thus when connected to the circuit, its resistance will vary.

You will need:

• carbon black ink and polyurethane
• Velcro
• conductive silver fabric

Sensor structure & Fabrication steps

• Laser cut Velcro.
• Dip-coat & brush-coat the Velcro with carbon black ink and then polyurethane.
• Connect with silver fabric segments.
